The intellectual property of many users has since been lost. Xanga only saved archives from users that posted in the last five years (2008-2013).

Xanga now provides a .xml file of your posts from the archives…. so use that to upload to your wordpress.com account. The stuff below is a workaround… although not an entirely efficient one. I spent a few days looking for a method to export xanga posts to wordpress… and at last i found one.

Sign in to Xanga (if you can remember your password!). If not, you better hope the email you attached to the account is still alive! Click on your name on the top right to go to your “admin” interface; Click the “Settings” link. My link was on the left side, under my picture. Click on “Xanga Archives” Click “Update Your Archives”
